Are you ready?

Hello everyone!

January is racing away and out very first meet-up is This Sunday 19th January at our usual venue….

You can find us at the EJ Scout Hall, South Perth on from 2 pm to 6 pm (Parking on Pilgrim St).

So, are you wondering what you need to be ready for?

Modern blocks and appliqué skill-share

Due to popular vote at the October meeting, we will be continuing with the Modern Blocks block of the month for the first half of 2013.
For the coming month, Beryl has chose a fusible appliqué block. We will be doing a skill builder session at 3:30pm for those who have never done fusible appliqué before (and anyone who wants to play with appliqué!). If you want to join in, please bring along:

  • a 6.5″ square of white homespun cotton fabric
  • scraps of cotton fabric (if you bring enough to share you can comfortably raid other people’s scraps
  • a pencil (retractable is good)
  • small sharp scissors.

Fusible web will be provided as will scraps of batting.
There is the option of starting your Block of the Month or your own name tag, which will take you through the process of making a tiny mini quilt from start to finish. We’ll look at different ways of finishing fusible appliqué in the following meeting.

In other news…

February is just around the corner and our Financial Members should have received their Sayonara Summer Retreat e-vite!

Hoping to see lots of you on Sunday and we welcome those of you whole would like to come and see all of the fantastic things that happen at our meetings!
Best wishes,

Beverley
