We had our first real outta-home meeting! It felt like growing up and moving out. There was a little trepidation (would anyone visit us?!) but we had a decent turnout.
We started with show and tell. Newcomer Gina showed the medallion quilt she’s been making as part of the Stitched In Color online hand stitching class.
Karen showed the progress on her batik coins quilt. (Love the Ugg boots!).
And Bev demonstrated how she improv pieced her mugrug. We followed that up with an improv curve demo, and then got onto designing mugrugs for our August-October challenge competition sponsored by Oz Material Girls and WantItNeedItQuilt. For information on how to enter, click here.
As per usual, there were great munchies (Carla’s cinnabuns stole the show), much chatter and a fair amount of sewing! For updates on the next meeting, please join up on the membership page, or check out the calendar.
