We had a great turn out at our latest meeting with lots of new faces and fabulous quilts.
Along with good food and good conversation we had Gina give us a lesson on bag making
And Emmy demonstrated and showed off blocks from our our latest BoM entitled Fussy Cut Critters and Bugs.
Show and Tell was entertaining with Kat’s Cowboy Quilt stealing the show.
Hannah’s awesomely coloured quilt impressed as well. We made her remove it from her sewing machine as she was industriously quilting during the meeting.
Janine showed off her mega sized wonder of lovely themed circles highlighted with hand quilting.
Rebecca and Bev modelled their handmade bags.
Gina and Danielle showed off their entries for the Wonky Star competition.
And Jackie demonstrated her colour knowledge savvy with a few completed blocks going toward a masculine themed quilt (as well as showing a sparklie little bag she just ‘threw’ together).
All in all it was a wonderful meeting and very well attended even though Sunday was the last day of the Perth Craft and Quilt Fair.
There’s lots happening for the group in the coming months with a charity quilt in the making and the Claremont Show booth. Stay tuned!
