Christmas is coming! We’ve put together a Pinterest Board of quick Christmas gift ideas for you to browse, and to get our Christmas gift making into gear, we asked Gina to review one of the patterns we’ve suggested as a Secret Santa gift – the Fabric Basket Tutorial by Ayumi Mills of Pink Penguin.
Over to you, Gina!
I have made this fabric basket so many times ! It’s such a great tutorial from Ayumi Mills of Pink Penguin.
I love that each step is accompanied by a photo , great for those of us who like to follow the instructions by looking at the pictures ! Everything is so clearly laid out. This is an easy project and makes such a useful gift.
Once you’ve made one you will see how easy it is to change the size of this basket , making it a versatile gift for any crafty person. Think fabric scraps, cotton reel storage, bin for threads, hexie storage, small project carrier, even toy storage for small cars or fairies.
The 12 squares on each side are cut from your scraps and can be swapped for half square triangles or have
stitches added to them or fussy cut. You can have such fun with this pattern . I’ve seen some gorgeous ideas online.
Have fun with it!
