Our meeting was held on the 19th of this month … a little earlier due to there being a public holiday in remembrance of our brave ANZACs later on in the month.
Swaps dominated the meeting with squeals of delight from every corner (or was that just me when I received my new name badge?)
Due to the recent growth spurt of our Guild, there are a lot of new names and new faces to remember … so a Name Badge Swap was suggested. Everyone did such a great job and I won’t have to address people as “Hey you with the pretty quilt!” anymore …
The second swap of the day was “Make something Zakka from ugly /challenging (to you) fabric”. Everyone did their best to hide their delight …
But soon they couldn’t hide their smiles any longer …
Of course there was show and tell on the day too … check out these lovelies …
I noticed a lot of hexie WIP’s at this meeting so I can see a flurry of fabulous hexie finishes in the near future …
Our next regular PMQG meeting is on Sunday, May 31st, however we also have a special Mother’s Day sewing day on Saturday, 9 May and we hope to see you there too!
