This topic is so exciting I thought it was worth its own blog post!
A few months ago Perth Modern Quilt Guild purchased an AccuQuilt GO! Cutter and a bunch of dies for members to use at our monthly meetings.
What can an AccuQuilt do, you ask? Well if you missed Jodie’s demo at the January meeting, its a quicker alternative to rotary cutting. As the AccuQuilt website puts it: save time, make accurate cuts, safe and easy to use, be creative!
And with dies in our library which include hexies, dresden plate, flowering snowballs, raggy squares, it’s certainly got me re-thinking what my next quilt will be.
You can cut all types of fabric, including cotton, flannel, denim, etc. The number of layers you can cut in one ”roll through” depends on the type of fabric you are using, however as a guide up to 6 layers of cotton goes through comfortably.
Have a look through the templates we currently have and start planning your next project!
Michelle 🙂
PS. A Liberty and linen equilateral triangle quilt is now at the top of my list of quilts to make!
