Who would have thought that November in Perth would be a washout? The sky looked like this on the day of our planned picnic:
And although Gina pointed out that it DID make a nice palette, we weren’t game to try picnicking in it.
So an indoor picnic was had instead for those brave enough to venture out in the storm:
As it was an open, “bring-the-family” meeting, a party game was in order, and Bev, the last minute hostesss-with-the-mostest ended up winning a copy of Ruby Star Wrapping by Melody Miller.
There was, of course, some show and tell. Alex’s funky curves-bee quilt stole the show.
Bev suddenly realised that the next day was her turn on the Travellin’ Pic Stitch bloghop and she hadn’t started OR learnt to EPP… So everyone pitched in to help her pick a photo, pick a palette and learn English Paper Piecing.
For an EPP and bloghop virgin, she did very well and amazed us all by finishing in time! Gina was also seduced into creating a block based on the colours of the day.
And the banner got finished and the MugRug challenge finished up… But more on that later!
